  1. Just read your essay on the Boggs origin. Seems like a DNA test for Mr Ramsey would be most informative. Or for any direct line Boggs descendants, for that matter.

  2. I am looking for information on a John Boggs who was born between 1790 and 18oo living in Cherokee County, Alabama who got land near the land of Pathkiller, the Chief of the Cherokee. The family was in the 1840 census of Cherokee County but had left by the 1850 census. Could this be a son of John Boggs and Turtle at Home. His wife was born between 18oo and 1810. The children were 2 males under 5, 1 male 15-20. 2 females 5-10, 1 female 10-15 and 1 female 15 to 20. It seems so interesting that they had land near the slave of Pathkiller. Any information would be helpful in my research on the area called Pollard’s Bend where Pathkiller was known as being. The Boggs also were living near the Coosa River and Terrapin Creek that the Indians talked about.

  3. I’m trying to access any information on John boggs and Polly parrot who are my great great grandparents . I’m not sure if this is an article if a book but when I click on it it takes me nowhere . Any article or information you have I would appreciate.
